My last blog I spoke of setting boundaries. You have to set these boundaries in order to reach your goal. This is so because if not, you will make up an excuse down the line, put other things first and lose sight of what you are trying to do.
Along with setting boundaries, you must set attainable goals. A good way to do this is to write them down and make those goals as descriptive and detailed as possible. Then ask yourself, "Is there anything that will get in the way?" Here's an example:
-If you're looking at losing weight and expect to drop 1-2 pounds a week HOWEVER your life is lived like:
1. You eat about 1800 calories a day (not truly a balanced plan)
2. Sit at a desk most of the time at work
3. Workout 2x/wk only burning 340 calories each time
4. Sleep about 6hrs each night
5. Hate drinking water
Are you catching my drift yet? Goals must equal lifestyle! If not, be prepared to work on some lifestyle changes. You truly have to Get Real!
